Recognizing Drug & Alcohol Abuse 30 days

Addiction is a tough path that most people do not choose purposely. But it's a path that takes over, and starts to control everything an addict does. There are behaviors that are consistent throughout different addictions. Drug and alcohol addictions have their own special signs and symptoms, and so knowing the pattern of addiction, and those signs, will help you to discern when someone is a drug or alcohol addict.

This class teaches the signs of drug & alcohol abuse, what to do when you suspect someone is struggling with addiction, general workplace rules & guidelines about testing, how others are affected by an addict's behavior, and what drug & alcohol abuse does to someone physically, mentally and emotionally.

Goals and Objectives:

  1. Participant will be able to identify the signs of someone who is using or abusing drugs or alcohol.
  2. Participant will be able to identify what drug & alcohol addiction does to an individually physically, emotionally, and mentally.
  3. Participant will be able to identify how others are affected by someone's addictive behavior.
  4. Participant will be able to identify solutions and opportunities for support when someone else seems to be struggling with addiction.
  5. Participant will be able to identify general workplace rules & guidelines about drug & alcohol abuse.
