Overcoming the Stigma

At Academy Hour, we have a goal of overcoming the stigma associated with mental health. Officers experience a lot of difficult, disturbing situations, and they should not have to fear for their job security because they ask for help. 

This weekly snippet-video series sends the ongoing message to officers & leadership that seeking help will make officers stronger, healthier, and more resilient - which results in safer outcomes.

52 weeks of video messages are included in this course series, totaling 12 hours of training for the year.  This gradual, consistent, ongoing saturation of the mental health topics will help officers & their leaders begin to value the importance of using mental health resources to stay strong and safe on the job.
