2020 Minimizing Trauma in Emergency Response/Medicine

Trauma is caused by being exposed to a fearful, dangerous, or disturbing situation. For emergency response medical professionals, the responsibility to "make everything okay" in these already difficult and stressful situations adds to the severity of trauma. This training course discusses how to manage emotions during one of these incidents, have a self-awareness of stressors and previous trauma that may affect reactions, level self-expectations and offer self-forgiveness, and how to debrief following a traumatic emergency response incident.

A free PDF downloadable copy of the "Post-Action Strategic Debriefing(c) workbook is included in this training course.

2 hours / mental health

Available January 1 - December 31.
