This courses discusses Mass Casualty Incidents and the need for overall health for resilience and recovery. Combining basics from industry post-action techniques and therapy techniques, this course also teaches the Post-Action Strategic Debriefing (PASD)© method for developing individual and team strength so as to be better prepared for action, debrief following action, and work toward healthy recovery and team cohesiveness.

Goals and Objectives: 

1. Participant will be able to identify the types of events that are considered Mass Casualty, as well as other types of events which could result in a need for group/team debriefing.
2. Participant will be able to follow and facilitate the Post-Action Strategic Debriefing method of debriefing, to lead a group/team session after an event.
3. Participant will be able to identify follow-up resources and how to provide those to members of the debriefing group.
