Conflicts are typically caused by different people having different goals, and not knowing how to work together for a resolution that everybody can live with. This 2-hour training course discusses the causes of conflict, the effect of different personalities on conflict and crisis, how to come together towards agreements, negotiating without anger or heightened emotions, and mediating towards mutual solutions.
Goals & Objectives:
- The student will gain an understanding of the primary psychological reasons behind conflict;
- The student will be able to identify steps to resolving conflict using therapeutic mediation techniques;
- The student will learn the steps to begin a mediation, resolve conflict throughout, and bring a conflict to an agreement.
- The student will learn the impact of conflict on one’s mental health and on one’s view of others.
