Mental Health Moment | Isolation
Apr 11, 2020
Imagine yourself somewhere all alone, where all you hear is a slight breeze and your breath. You are so distant from everything else that you can see every star in the sky. You have people in your life that you love, that love you...but they're nowhere around. It's just you, and stillness. How do you feel about this... is it peacefulness that renews your soul? Or do you feel anxious and lonely and wish for something else?
When you feel "isolated," and separated from what you think you want to be part of, try sitting right where you are, and thinking about all the things that are good there. You can learn a lot about yourself by being alone. If you don't like everything you're finding, take the time to make a plan for change. If you do, then soak it in, enjoy it, and use the moment to restore yourself.
